The Mid-Term Review Meeting took place on Monday, 7 September 2026, in a hybrid format at the University of Antwerp. The meeting brought together the project’s Steering Committee and a few Task Leaders with the REA Project Officer, the EC Policy Officer, and two external experts, who were appointed to review the project’s progress.
The day provided an opportunity to reflect on the progress achieved so far and to share key results from across the project. A particular focus was placed on the project’s pilot cases and empirical work, which the reviewing experts highlighted as an important strength of Just Fashion. The pilot activities provide valuable insights into the realities and needs of fashion companies and help connect the project’s research and tools with practical applications in the industry.
The Review Meeting also provided an opportunity to discuss the project’s next steps, with the experts highlighting the importance of ensuring that the project’s outcomes effectively reach and respond to the needs of its target users. Overall, the project received very positive feedback, with the experts considering it to be on track and recognising the value of the outcomes achieved so far. The constructive exchange between the consortium, REA representatives and external experts provided valuable input to further strengthen the project’s impact.
The Mid-Term Review marks not an endpoint, but an important step towards the final phase of Just Fashion. With encouraging feedback and clear priorities for the months ahead, the consortium will continue working together to develop practical solutions, strengthen collaboration and contribute to the sustainability transition of the fashion industry.
A sincere thank you to all consortium partners, the REA representatives, the external experts for their valuable contributions to this important milestone.
