On 29 October 2025, the Just Fashion project took part in the 4th Community Webinar of the tExtended project, a key event for the tExtended Community of Practitioners. The webinar provided a platform for experts, practitioners, and projects across Europe to exchange knowledge on sustainable and circular solutions for the textile sector. Speakers from Soprema Group and Rester Oy shared insights into their work and innovations in tExtended, while Just Fashion presented its perspectives and ongoing activities to support the just transition of (M)SMEs in the fashion sector.
tExtended tackles one of the most pressing challenges in the textile industry: the extremely low recycling rates of textile waste, with less than 1% currently entering back into the production cycle as secondary raw materials. Through the development of a comprehensive Blueprint, tExtended aims to optimize textile cycling, enabling waste reduction, extended reuse, and efficient material recycling. Its focus on replicable digital and technological solutions makes the project a hub for innovation and collaboration across European regions.
JUST FASHION’s participation in the webinar emphasizes the potential for collaboration between EU initiatives addressing circularity and sustainability in textiles. By engaging with the tExtended community, Just Fashion seeks to explore synergies that can foster knowledge exchange and build connections with stakeholders across Europe who share the vision of a circular fashion industry.
