On 30 September and 1 October 2025, Luisa Cerano welcomed partners of the European Just Fashion Project, funded by Horizon Europe, to its headquarters in Nürtingen, Germany. The two-day workshop sessions brought together experts including Jasmien Wynants (MASJIEN), Chiara Mayer (Fashion Council Germany), and Simon Gryspeert (Flanders District of Creativity), who worked closely with the Luisa Cerano teams over two intensive days.
Together, they explored how fashion can be designed with fewer resources and greater long-term value. The sessions examined circular design approaches, smarter material choices, lifecycle-driven decision-making, and forward-looking business models that strengthen sustainability across the sector.
Drawing on these insights, participants developed practical ideas for integrating circular principles directly into the creative and development process. Discussions highlighted how intentional design choices, innovative materials, and improved production practices can further strengthen environmental performance and support long-lasting, high-quality products. The workshop series will continue with three online sessions scheduled to end in January. These digital modules will look at the later life stages of products, including retail, consumer use, and end-of-life scenarios. The overarching goal is to identify a pilot project that Luisa Cerano will further develop, placing particular emphasis on design innovation, production excellence, and responsible supply chain management.
