The fashion and textile sector is undergoing a profound transformation, driven by the urgent need for greater sustainability and the rapid development of digital technologies. To support this transition, the DigiFashTech project has developed the Green Digital Fashion Manager learning pathway, now available online for learners and professionals across the sector.
The learning pathway brings together sustainability, digital innovation, circular economy principles, ethical manufacturing, business development, and organisational change. Structured across 5 interconnected modules and more than 50 lessons, it provides practical knowledge and strategic tools for understanding and managing the green and digital transformation of fashion and textiles.
The programme is designed for students, early-career professionals, fashion and textile practitioners, educators, and VET providers who want to strengthen their skills and respond to the changing needs of the industry.
A key outcome of the learning pathway is the development of a new professional profile: the Green Digital Fashion Manager—a strategic role connecting creative practice, sustainability, digital technologies, and responsible business management. Learners explore how digital solutions can support sustainable production and decision-making, how circular business models can be developed, and how ethical and ESG-oriented practices can be integrated into organisations.
By completing the curriculum, participants can strengthen their ability to learn, apply, and lead—turning sustainability and digital innovation into practical strategies for fashion businesses and organisations. Upon completion, learners can earn their Green Digital Fashion Manager certificate, recognising their newly developed knowledge and competences.
